WHY AM I DOING IT?
I've heard great things about annotating books over the last months. I'm going it to be honest, I'm a little nervous to do so, because (and I'm sure a lot of you might be able to relate to this) I'm not a huge fan of writing or doodling or highlighting or just permanently marking my books.
However, I have used sticky notes to mark important events, quotes that I love or information about the characters, so I guess I'm a little familiarized with that part, the difference will be that now I'll have a color code and I'll be actually writing on my books (with pencil since I'm just starting, if I really enjoy doing this then I'll use a more...permanent material).
So, I did some research, watched some videos from BookTubers on this matter and I thought, this sounds fun, why not? And so here we are.
*At the end of the month I'll let you know my thoughts: did Ilike it? Would I do it again? What would I change? Did I find it useful? Will I be doing it in all of my books?
THE SYSTEM
I have sticky notes from 5 different colors, each one will mean something different:
BLUE: a quote that I really liked.
GREEN: this will mean funny, it might be a funny scene, a funny dialogue, funny quote, or just anything that made me smile/laugh.
YELLOW: important information, about the characters, the world, foreshadowing, flashbacks, etc.
ORANGE: annoying, anything that I found annonyng, or comments that bothered me or anything that might evoke an angry reaction out of me.
PINK: cute, romantic moments, or something that I loved (scene, dialogue, description....).
I'll be writing next to the sticky note, in case I find it necessary, in pencil.
VIDEO RECOMMENDATIONS
